9th Ave. btw 38th and 39th St.

Now I know how many hipsters it takes to fill the Albert Hall…Anyway, I guess all the tenants of the new buildings in this neighborhood didn’t want a new place to match the dive bars that abound in this area.  So voila, we have a, as they call it, gastropub…that term needs to go.  All microbrews, which I can stomach if I have to, but $9 for a pint of Speckled Hen!?!  It’s not as if the crowd doesn’t reek of pretentiousness (though that sentence I just wrote might), or the bartenders could come off as somewhat personable.  It’s just a really crowded bar, decent amount of space, with expensive average microbrews that taste the same as anywhere else.
